Can't login to the English forums
I have the same problem …
Same problem, and while switching languages, i’m disconected.

Hi,
Sorry that you’re experiencing problems with the forums. Here are 3 things you could try to solve that issue:
1) Clear cookies in your browser
2) Clear session data in the Security tab on the Account Management site (by using the Disconnect button on all entries except the last one)
3) Decline the Code of conduct, then login again and accept the Code of conduct
Thanks for keeping the tone a bit more courteous, or I’ll be forced to issue infractions.
Thanks also if you can let us know which solution worked, if any.

Oops… I just replied on a similar thread but okay, I can add some detail here too since we’re all in English. (I must have seen a couple of similar threads)
So, I’m able to log onto this forum (French), plus the German and Spanish forums. Trying to log into the English forums gets me an error 401:
Error 401: Unauthorized
ActionController::InvalidAuthenticityToken
Here’s all the info I can think of:
- I could log in during open beta. I can’t remember if I ever got in after live.
- I’m logging in from France. May be relevant if geolocation is used.
- I’ve tried 3 browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer), no luck with any. IE in particular I’d never tried logging into the forum with, and it doesn’t even get to the error 401. It just eats my username and password, unless I put my password in wrong in which case it tells me so. Chrome and Firefox both get stuck on the error 401.
- I’ve tried clearing all my guild wars related cookies from Chrome. No change. Security settings look okay, and I’m posting right now using Chrome.
- I’ve tried browser and full machine restarts, and I think I’ve been trying for about a week without success? I wasn’t too worried at first as I thought it might clear up, but no.
- I just tried Stephane’s idea of declining the code of conduct, trying with and without the tickbox, and also accepting the code with and without the tickbox. I still can’t get past the error 401.
Hope that helps!
I got it working, but clearing cookies with ccleaner and the above suggestions didnt work.
i got it working by doing the following in firefox:
options > privacy > click “remove individual cookies”
and there I removed 2 cookies relating to guildwars2.com and then I could log into english forums.
Same problem here and still no working solution.
I’m trying to log in from France to the english forum. I tried using Chrome, Firefox and IE. All cookies are enabled and I did try all that has been suggested in this thread to get it working, without luck.
Any word on the issue? If someone found a valid solution, please feel free to share!
This is not a local problem on user side: I tried logging in with every browser I could think of on different PC’s (where I never browsed to the GW site before). It’s everywhere the same problem, but as someone already said, only regarding the english forum.
I tried everything that has been suggested, but nothing worked so far.
Please fix this.
Just my 2 cents, Niko
Same here. Every languages works. Try to log in from South Korea. I would say, that is definetly a problem with the forum, not from the users. Why they don’t have global Log in anyway. One log in and you can use everything…
